"In a world where connection is steadily giving way to isolation, I consider myself blessed to have traded love with [...] admirable people.

That's what I like about love--you can't get rid of it. [When] You give it away, you get more than you had to begin with."
~ Lennox

I went to see Yaz, ...

I went to see Yaz, or Yazoo as they are referred to in the UK.

The concert was amazing and center right 12 rows backed was truly awesome!!

Talk about reliving highschool and college. This was one concert that was true to what made the music great in the first place. Everyone was singing to the songs and dancing and loving every minute of it.

So glad they stopped close enough to make the concert.

When you're in love

I love the simplicity and effortlessness behind the lyrics to this song.

You only get one, so treat it well

Have you ever wanted to trade in your body for a new one. To be able to walk up to some imaginary counter and with all the indignant wrath you can muster demand a refund!!

I wished that a hundred times over since my back surgery. Perhaps that's why this short story [No Refunds] touched a cord deep inside me. It's a great read even if you can't identify with how I've felt over the past 8 years.

Becoming "great" ...

"The difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing." ~ Michael E. Gerber

Quote of the day ...

A great many people think they are thinking when they are really rearranging their prejudices.
- William James

The way I am

Here's a video that has an awesome message!!

I haven't laughed this hard in a while!!!

From Average Joe and his blog: Notes from My Ordinary Life comes the following:
"And I want a pony. One that poops $100 bills. And a magic hat that can make me invisible. And a big shiny backhoe that I can take out in the back yard on weekends to dig holes. Come to think of it, I want a back yard."

You have to start somewhere ...

As if one blog wasn't enough ...

I often find things interesting enough to inspire ideas for a post, yet they have nothing to do with dogs. I want to keep the integrity of my other blog and its focus on my experience raising my dogs. Now there's a place for everything else. How far and few between the post will be is yet to be seen.

So, just grab the feed and you'll always know!
